DETENT collects no personal data. There is no account to create, no analytics SDK, and no tracking of any kind, in the app or on this site's product pages.

Every message the app sends stays on your own local network. DETENT talks directly to the bridge you run on your PC, over a plain WebSocket connection between your phone or tablet and that PC. Nothing about your flights, your radios, or your device is sent anywhere else, and there is no server operated by us in between.

The app uses your camera for one purpose: scanning the pairing QR code the bridge shows on your PC, so the app can connect to it. Camera frames are processed on your device only, to find that QR code, and are never stored or transmitted.

The airport and frequency database is bundled with the app and works entirely offline. It comes fromOurAirports, a public domain dataset. Looking up an airport does not contact any server.
